Another busy market weekend ahead and probably another soggy weekend. Rhiwbina seems to dogged by the worst of the wet weather at the moment - soggy Fridays seem to have become the norm ! We are at Usk and Roath on Sat and Riverside on Sunday with our full range on offer. We are taking orders for Christmas - we will have fresh organic turkeys this year. They are growing on well -lovingly cared for by Nanny who does an amazing job with them at 89 !!
Cows are still out but those at Penrhiw will probably come in on the weekend. Some yard improvements will be completed by then. The hardy Welsh Blacks at Fforest will have to tough it for a while yet until the new concrete yard is completed at Cefn Coed. In theory, we have all summer to carry out yard work but we are always so busy with harvest and then drilling as well as lots of markets, it's hard to fit everything in !!
