Paul's Organic Veg September News
Cavolo Nero - one of our favourite vegetable to grow. This variety of kale has dark, beautifully blistered leaves and a good robust texture. Great for steam, bake, stir fry, braise or boil.
It was very hard year growing broccoli and cauliflower for us . Our first crop was eaten by the rabbits. Later was too hot and too dry... But finally we have wonderful crop! The biggest broccoli 2kg and cauliflower 4kg!
Tomatoes time! This year we are growing around 20 varieties of tomatoes. These beauties are Black Russian - heirloom variety of tomatoes. The fruit has a dark brown/blackish coloured skin when ripe with a similar coloured flesh presenting a beautiful dark glazed appearance when cut. Sweet and very tasty!
