hello from a cold and wet Penrhiw and Cefn Coed. Everyone who should be tucked up from the wintry weather is - the early lambing ewes are in the barns - 2 new born lambs at Cefn Coed, 6 at Penrhiw ; new born piglets are cosy under an infra red heat lamp; Dylan the Welsh Black bull and his steer friends at Cefn Coed can go in and out as they wish but no prizes for guessing where they are tonight. The Welsh ewes are out - as long as they have plenty of hay and a wall to shelter under they don't mind it.
Ffi is making excellent progress with Hetty - out hacking alone now without her Nanny. Pictures on facebook.
Markets this weekend: Rhiwbina on Friday, Usk and Tonteg on Sat and Riverside on Sunday - let's hope snow doesn't scupper plans. Some market changes - we are no longer going to St Fagans but will attend Roath on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays - starting next week 9th Feb
