January Market News

We are in the very depth of winter but there is a market on Saturday 17th.
This is not the largest of our markets but nevertheless a good turnout. Some familiar faces are missing. Tiffy and Salim are waiting for Salim to fully recover before they start planning their future. Some others have retired from the market.
The WI will no longer be attending (although the regular WI market continues at the Conservative Club each Thursday 10.00am -12 noon.April- September).
Ian MacDonald will continue running his plant stall independently.
Also, Ian Williams from Raglan has decided to no longer attend the markets at Usk. Ian wishes everyone a happy New Year and the stallholders a successful one.
Lisa Standley, of Cottage Coppicing is busy working in the woods but will return to the market in March.
There will be a while before some of the products can be replaced at the market but in the mean-time there is much to enjoy.
Tiffy Kabir will not be attending the markets in the near future.
We have received the news that Salim has had a stroke and Tiffy will be taking care of him for the time being.
Tiffy has said she would be happy to supply her produce (curries and preserves) from home.
Our best wishes to Salim for a good recovery and to Tiffy.
Latest Upddate January 18th:
Salim is recovering well and in good Spirits.
